The Piedmont Historical Society was established in 1992. The Museum contains thousands of pictures and artifacts that belonged to the people of this area from many years ago, including those of the present day.

The Museum is Piedmont's first two story brick building which was built in 1917 and housed the Piedmont State Bank on the main floor. The Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star and Rainbow Girls were located upstairs.

The white and green small octagon shaped ceramic tiles are still intact at the entry of the main building, as well as the stained glass windows and the bank's safe.

The Historical Society Museum Annex Building  construction was completed in 2013 to provide for additional space for meetings and display.
